1. What is an Online Parenting Plan?
The Online Parenting Plan is an online tool created to assist parents in negotiating a parenting plan agreement for custody and visitation of their child(ren). It also guides parents through specific arrangements for vacations, holidays, and transportation of the child(ren).
2. How does Online Parenting Plan work?
Once either party logs-on to our Online Parenting Plan website, either party, or their attorney, can begin entering in basic information through the system. Then the other party will receive an email invitation to participate in the Online Parenting Plan. The responding party, or their attorney, will review the information submitted by the other party and provides a response.
For parents who come to an agreement, they will receive their documentation which will be ready to be filed with the court.

4. Why should I create my Parenting Plan online?
- Save Time – Skipping the in-person court hearing usually means you can settle your case in around half the time it usually takes!
- Avoid Court – By using the Online Parenting Plan, you can avoid the courthouse crowds, parking fees, and missing work!
- Flexibility – Online means that you can work toward an agreement with the other parent when and where it is convenient for you, not just when the court is open for business.
- Ownership – When you and the other parent reach an agreement on your own, you have more of a say than you would if the judge gets involved.
- Security – You do not have to worry about sharing your personal information. We use the highest level of security to protect you.
- Only Online Option – The Online Parenting Agreement is the only option online option available.
5. Is participation mandatory?
While your participation may not be mandatory, use of the Online Parenting agreement is highly encouraged.
6. Is the Online Parenting Plan confidential?
Our online system is confidential, as required by rules, statute, or court order. No one is permitted to capture screens, print, or copy data or entries from this program.
7. How much does the Online Parenting Plan cost?
The Online Parenting Plan is available at no cost to parents!
8. How long do we have to finish our Online Parenting Plan?
Parties should finish their parenting plan and file it with the court 5 days prior to any appointment with Family Court Services (mediation) or court hearing.
If there is no court hearing, the parties have 548 days from the date they first accessed the ODR system.
9. What if I do not have an email address?
An email account is required to use the Online Parenting Plan.

10. What should I expect before I begin the Online Parenting Plan?
Plan to spend at least 45 minutes to create and review Parenting Agreements.
Have a calendar to reference for holidays, birthdays, vacations, etc.
Your progress is saved as you work through your case. If you are unable to finish your work, you can come back to your Online Parenting Plan and your progress will be saved.

11. What if we cannot come to an agreement through the Online Parenting Plan?
If you are unable to resolve all child custody and visitation issues, you will be required to attend a mediation, in-person at a courthouse, prior to any hearing regarding custody and visitation.
12. What if we do come to an agreement?
If you reach a full agreement you may fax your Parenting Plan Agreement to the court, mail it, or use a drop box located in front of the courthouse.
