Only one person can represent the party: either the party themselves or their attorney.
If you are a party to an online dispute and your attorney has already joined the dispute, you will be unable to join. If you are an attorney and your party has already joined the online dispute, you would be unable to join as well. If you need to change the person associated with the online dispute, you would want to reach out to the court that your case has been filed in for assistance.
If the Online Dispute Resolution site finds that both parties on the case have already been claimed by other users, a reminder will appear instructing how to sign in or reset the password.
